Angles also holds colourful festivals in the village square, ranging from 'moules-frites' evenings to jazz concerts, fireworks displays and special children's events.
Le Pressoir is supremely well placed for access to all the very best of the region's attractions. The seaside resort of La Tranche sur Mer is almost on the doorstep, at less than a ten-minute drive away. Here you can find clean, golden sands, a sunny microclimate (worthy of the south of France) and great family entertainment. Not much further afield are the calm and scenic waterways of the Marais Poitevin and stunning vistas of vineyards, sunflowers and poppies, depending on the season.
Located so close to the village of Angles, (on one of the roads leading into the village) you and the kids can enjoy a stroll down in the morning to pick up a fresh baguette, croissants or some yummy fresh cakes, whilst practicing your French, or visit in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants.
A great little park area is just a minutes walk from Le Pressoir and many hours can be spent here as there is also a large green area for a great game of football or rounder's.....!
Just 5 minutes away in Longeville sur Mer there are two further adventure parks plus an outdoor FREE gymnasium....!
The village has an Office de Tourisme, two boulangeries (bakers), a post office, banks, a hairdressers, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, creperie, cafes/bars and restaurants. Also that important 'cave' for locally-produced wine plus a quaint boutique of arts/crafts for the perfect holiday gift. A large Brocante (antiques centre), mini-supermarkets and an excellent butchers and fish mongers. Just on the outskirts of the village (a 5 minute cycle) is a large super-market and two petrol stations as well as additional restaurants, a Boulanger & spa.
Angles has just around 2,000 permanent inhabitants but there's plenty going on in this little village. During the summer months Angles benefits from a twice weekly market, held on Wednesdays and Sundays, so you can enjoy this typically French way of shopping for your fresh fruit and veg, local wines and cheeses, house wares, plants and even the latest fashions.
This coastal area is a gourmet's delight! The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers visiting the town's fish market (open every weekday at 5am) will be able to choose from a range of freshly caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustines & gambas.

The delightful village of Angles.....
The small market village of Angles is found amidst the lovely countryside of the Vendée department of Western France, close to sandy beaches and many family attractions. Angles is typically French, with soft, grey stone buildings built in the traditional style, a lovely church as its centrepiece, and a vibrant twice weekly market. The village of Angles is just a minutes walk from Le Pressoir on the flat.
